Through those associations and through their extensive referral network, the attorneys have developed a substantial business law practice. They have formed Schmidt and Holmes LLP specifically to meet the needs of that practice, offering both litigation and transactional services as each case demands.

The Firm's litigation practice provides superior pre-trial, trial and appellate services. The Firm focuses specifically on cases involving breach of contract, oil and gas disputes, real estate disputes, business torts, disputes on sales of goods, banking disputes, and other commercial conflicts among businesses and business people.

For its transactional practice, the Firm focuses on emerging and middle-market companies needing expertise in entity formation, bank and equity financing, contract drafting and negotiation, acquisitions and divestitures, and regulatory and marketing services in domestic onshore oil and gas projects. The Firm can provide formation and compliance services to Reg D funds (e.g., 17 C.F.R. § 230.506) to keep them in good standing with FINRA and the Texas State Securities Board.
